Our Chiropractors, or Back Doctors as some people call them, use a technique, or combination of techniques, that are specifically designed for your medical condition to provide maximum results. Please read about a few of these techniques below, including spinal adjustments and massage therapy.

Spinal Adjustments

A spinal adjustment is the art of using a specific amount of force in a precise and controlled direction, applied to a joint that is not moving properly. This adds motion to the joint, helping the bones to gradually move back to their normal position. The sole purpose for this chiropractic procedure is to improve your spinal function as well as improving your nervous system function and overall improved health.  This is also commonly referred to as “Manipulations” for the relief and treatment of back pain, neck pain, stiff neck, etc.  Our Chiropractors will provide this treatment to you only where you need it, when you need it, if you want it and only if it feels good and helps your specific problem.

Chiropractic Massage Therapy

Chiropractic Massage Therapy is a systematic manual application of pressure and movement to the soft tissue of the body, commonly referred to as the skin, muscles, tendons, ligaments, and fascia (the membrane surrounding muscles and muscle groups). It can help encourage healing by promoting the flow of blood and lymph, relieving tension, stimulating nerves, and stretching and loosening muscles and connective tissue to keep them elastic. Examples of such are deep tissue work, soft tissue mobilization, myofascial release and cross function massage. This is a great treatment for stiff neck, back pain, or pain in general. Chiropractic Massage is not only a great partner in Chiropractic care, it is good for your body and mind.

Modalities

These are additional mechanisms that support our efforts within your Chiropractic Care in expediting your recovery. Examples of these are electrical stimulation, ultrasound, heat and ice, taping, traction, microcurrent, flexion-distraction and h-wave.

Clinical Nutrition

Sometimes you need alternate assistance along with your Chiropractic care to speed along your recovery. Nutritional guidelines often aid with this. These can be defined as weight loss, anti-inflammatory diets, diabetes, hypertension, oncology support, osteoporosis, cholesterol, osteoarthritis, pre and post op nutritional support to speed recovery from surgery, and dietary supplemental advisement.
